Fahlgren Mortine has picked up the $400K Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce/Convention and Visitors’ Bureau to promote “The Grand Strand’s” 60 mile-long beach and local attractions beyond its South Carolina location.

Kimberly Miles, PR manager of the CoC/CVB, told O’Dwyer’s that of the 40 firms invited to pitch, F-M, incumbent M Booth, Fleishman-Hillard and Edelman came in for in-person presentations.

The winning Columbus-based shop scored points based on its knowledge of the travel sector, culture, full-service capabilities and integrated marketing approach to communications.

Another bonus: FM is located in one of Myrtle Beach’s biggest “feeder markets.”

FM’s travel work includes campaigns for Ohio Tourism, Panama City Beach (Fla.) and Ohio’s Hocking Hills Tourism.
