Nevada will roll its tourism marketing dice with Burson-Marsteller and RedRock Strategies, following an RFP process.

The Silver State brought in former Ohio tourism director Claudia Vecchio in November to overhaul its travel pitch.

An RFP released in March included PR, creative and digital on a budget in the $3M range, noting PR is the “strategic driver” of the effort to integrate a new brand for Nevada.

Nineteen firms pitched the account, a field which was narrowed to four finalists.

B-M will lead the account with support from WPP sister unit Young & Rubicam. Ryan Irwin, a former Romney advisor, leads Nevada operations for RedRock Strategies, a Republican-aligned PR and PA shop with an office in Austin.
