Risdall Marketing Group, a Minnesota PR and ad agency, sent over news of a “stimulus value package” today. That $7K deal (actually $6,999!) gets you a planning session, PR counsel and even a piece of creative work like a banner ad.
A San Francisco company called Telesmart Communications sent me a reminder that “Inside sales needs a stimulus plan too” and LinkValu Affiliate Network, a life insurance company, is putting St. Patrick’s Day in the mix with its “Pot o’ Gold Stimulus Package,” an incentive for its affiliates.It seems that any attempt to offer savings is now a “stimulus” package. Docucopies.com, a printing company, has a “Discount Color Printing Stimulus Package,” while MCH, a database and mailing list marketing shop, has gone the extra mile to launch StimulusMarketing.com, to help marketers target the companies getting big bucks from D.C.
Mohegan Sun, a Connecticut gambling casino, has been trying to buck the down economy and lure gamblers with the slogan “Stimulus, Recovery and Rebound” and a package of cheap tables, slot machines and rooms. City Theatre in Pittsburgh has an “arts Stimulus Package,” a slate of free performances for first-timers to the theater.
CBS ran a front-page footer ad in the New York Times today touting its “Late Night Stimulus Package” of David Letterman and Craig Ferguson. Letterman’s got U2 on all week and Ferguson gets in the spirit of the new marketing moniker with his special Monday guest: Paris Hilton.
