Lenzer wants to know how a plastic water bottle imported from a military dictatorship across the Pacific became the epitome of cool. She notes that we don't drink "Burma Water" that flows from a place ruled by military thugs, or "Libya Water," tapped from a land headed by the unstable Col. Q. Fiji spokesperson Rob Six wrote a spirited rebuttal to Lenzer, who countered with her own response. Quite a duel.
It’s up to you, Barack Obama, to decide your choice of water. If you must drink bottled water — a product that is an environmental nightmare — how about at least picking a domestic brand (Poland Spring)?
Tap water, of course, is the right thing to do. Carrying around a bottle filled with tap water would be an inspiration to millions of young people. Go for it, Mr. President.
