California’s state-backed embryonic stem cell research institution is calling for PR proposals through mid-June to aide in its public communications.
The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, created by voter referendum in 2005 with a $3 billion bond issue, released an RFP on May 20 for help in forging ties with thought leaders and patient advocates, as well as proving the value of the institution to the state and public.
Fleishman-Hillard has handled the account for the past two years.
That includes “developing creative ways to demonstrate progress in the field while also setting realistic expectations,” reads the RFP.
The CIRM plans an 11-month contract starting around Aug. 1 with two possible extensions.
The work includes traditional PR, social media, and other outreach on a budget capped at $125K/year.
Pitches are due by June 14.
