Joe Honick, GMA International Ltd (11/03):
Once again, Arthur, you are on target. Take another look at what's also missing from your pundits' punditry: not one damned word about how the Republicans can look voters in the face about two wars they started that have run up bills in the trillions, left many Americans dead, maimed and ill tended on their return...and with only some minor comment from the new Speaker of the House that we have "to succeed" with no suggestion of how that will happen after almost a decade.
Kevin Foley (11/04):
Right on, Arthur. There is next to no rational thinking among those who voted with their emotions instead of their brains. I think a couple of things were noteworthy:
-- Linda McMahon failed to buy the Senate seat in CT.
-- Meg Whitman failed to buy the governorship of CA.
-- Carley Forina failed to buy the senate seat in CA
-- Nutcase teabagger Carl Paladino failed.
-- Nutcase teabagger Christy O'Donnell failed.
-- Nutcase teabagger Sharron Angle failed.
-- Nutcase teabagger Joe Miller looks like he'll fail.
Now that the GOP has the House, I'm looking forward to see how they "rollback Obamacare," "reduce deficits," "stop wasteful spending," and create "more jobs" by "extending Bush's tax cuts" for the wealthiest 1%.
[email protected] (11/04):
Thanks, Joe and Kevin -- Actually, I was hoping some of those nutcases would end up in the Senate. After two years of witchcraft, etc., the voters might have regained their senses for the 2012 election. I'm now coining a new slogan for the GOP --God Owful Politics.
Wes Pedersen (11/04):
Great topics for the pundits: Who walks out of the White House next? What impact, if any, did Michelle's stump appeals have on what voters where? What Democrats will be trying for a chance at the presidency? What Republicans? Will the post-election jump in the market last out the week?
Rene A. Henry, Fellow PRSA (11/06):
Artie, Very well stated. The one thing missing is whether the American public realizes that because of a decision made by the U.S. Supreme Court earlier this year anonymous donors gave millions to this campaign. I would like to know how much money the Mexican Drug Cartel spent to defeat the medical marijuana initiative in California. What president was it who promised transparency?
Joe Honick, GMA International Ltd (11/09):
Just part of the fun part will be rationalizing the idiotic McConnell deconstruction commentary with his defense of earmarks as a "Constitutional right." No wonder we are blinked at by other countries. |
