Comcast has brought in Abernathy MacGregor Group president Adam Miller as a senior advisor to the company as it works to close its blockbuster $30 billion merger with NBC Universal.
Miller, who has been counseling the AMG cable and media client through the high-profile NBC deal, exits the firm after 16 years, the last four serving as president.
“I have worked closely with Adam for over a decade and I know that he will be a great asset to our company,” said Comcast COO Steve Burke.
Cable giant Comcast claims 23.2M video customers and owns the Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers professional sports team, among other holdings.
AMG, meanwhile, has tapped Chuck Burgess, a 16-year veteran of the firm, and Winnie Lerner (14 years) as co-presidents with the exit of Miller. Jim Abernathy remains chairman and CEO of the Havas-owned firm.
The Comcast-NBC combine faces regulatory approval this year.
