Weber Shandwick won the bid to represent the University of Colorado’s $30M Anschutz Health and Wellness Center that is slated to open in Aurora, Col., next spring.
The RFP issued in September called for positioning the facility as the anchor in the regional development of a "Silicon Valley of Health & Wellness."
The Interpublic unit’s Denver and Washington, D.C., offices will work the account that includes general PR, multicultural communications, brand development, advertising, digital and social media support.
James Hill, executive director of the Center, selected Weber Shandwick due to its “unparalleled experience in health and wellness communications” and strong local and national presence. He sees the need for a multi-faceted communications campaign to tackle the nation’s expanding waistline.
