In an 18-year span, Crumpsty has held PR posts at McDonald’s, Hutchison 3G, Ericsson and Penna, the human resources consulting outfit. He also was senior policy adviser at Omnicom’s Fleishman-Hillard operation.
Mark Penn, B-M’s CEO, expects Crumpsty “to bring DI’s proven model for delivering key messages in a localized way to the U.K. marketplace.”
Crumpsty’s track record shows that he understands “how to communicate with varied and sometimes conflicting stakeholders at a local level to build and enhance reputation,” said Penn in a statement.
Crumpsty is former leader of the Reading Council and founder/chairman of the Enterprise Forum, which keeps business abreast of what the Tories are up to.
At DI, he reports to president Nicole Cornish and B-M/U.K. CEO Matt Carter.
