An Ohio planning consortium focused on sustainability and backed by a $4.25M federal grant as well as other funds is seeking PR support for its efforts.
The Northeast Ohio Sustainable Communities Consortium, covering 12 counties in the state and large cities like Akron and Cleveland, is working to develop a coordinated and integrated planning effort in areas like transportation, economic development, infrastructure and land use.
An RFP release Dec. 13 for communications efforts to engage residents, members of the consortium and stakeholders in the planning process. It seeks proposals for media engagement, social media, communications strategy, and other PR tactics for pitch individually or in whole.
In addition to 26 public and private members, NOSCC has received backing from the federal government’s Sustainable Communities Initiative, run by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Dept. of Transportation and Environmental Protection Agency.
