The Corporation for Travel Promotion, the $200M U.S. government/private sector partnership established to lure foreign visitors here, is looking for a chief marketing officer.
According to specs on CTP's website, the CMO is to lead the first-ever communications campaign for "Brand USA."
The selected executive will oversee PR, advertising, social media and trade show presence. The job requires handling third-party relations, communicating with government and travel industry investors and pitching research analytics to management and external constituents are other duties.
CTP president Jim Evans, a veteran of Hyatt Hotels and Best Western, made his debut at the U.S. Travel Association’s International Pow Wow in San Francisco last month.
He promised a marketing campaign by the fall that will "bring billions in new spending and millions of jobs to the U.S. economy" and generate a sold return on investment for CTP’s corporate partners. |
