The Young Turks, which is a daily political, pop culture and lifestyle webcast with a liberal bent, is looking to hire a PR firm to build brand identity and awareness as it is expected to hit the half-billion upload mark by mid-July.
Launched in `02 as a talk show on Sirius Satellite Radio, the TYT migrated to the Internet in `05 and now features political news, college news & commentary, movie reviews, interview, sports and Vlog aggregation channels. It was co-founded by Cenk Uygur, political commentator and guest host on MSNBC and Huffington Post columnist.
TheYoungTurks.com wants a PR firm to “increase external engagement and visibility” in TV, radio, print and online media and to “access and generate opportunities to liaise directly with media, key opinion leaders and other third-party entities for our show,” according to its RFP.
The budget for this project is $5,000 to $10,000, but the TYT expect to be looking for a firm to hire on a longer-term basis soon.
Firms interested in pitching must contact [email protected] or 646/415-8052 by June 30. Written proposals are due July 1. Presentations are set for July 6 or 7. It is required that the proposed account team pitch the business. |
