Sound Transit, the transportation agency for Seattle, Bellevue and other regions of Washington, is looking for a PR and public affairs agency with an RFP process this month.
ST, formed in 1993 as the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority, wants a plan to inform the public of its implementation of voter-approved transit projects as well as various other PR assignments during the course of a one-year contract with three options years, according to the RFP, released March 3.
Recent voter referendums okayed the expansion of the state’s light rail system with construction running through 2106 and also approved expansion of commuter rail and express bus services in recent years.
ST’s purview includes half the population of the Evergreen State and it carries more than 18M riders a year on trains, buses and light rail.
Proposals are due March 24.
