Sarah Tyre, who was senior VP & group manager at Ketchum’s issues and crisis management practice, has moved to Burson-Marsteller as managing director. She reports to Karen Doyne, head of the WPP unit’s crisis team.
During a 15-year span at Ketchum, Tyre worked on data breaches, product related deaths/injuries, workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, fraud, recalls and litigation.
She counseled Bridgestone/Firestone, Johnson & Johnson, ConAgra Foods, Wendy’s, Pfizer and IBM. She supported Russia’s hosting of the G8 Summit in St. Petersburg and handled Olympic activity in Athens and Beijing.
Tyre started her PR career in `95 at Ruder Finn and then moved to Omnicom’s Ketchum as part of its healthcare practice before shifting to issues/crisis work.
