Ron Levy (8/27):
What a blessing! This man may help protect millions of lives and save taxpayers billions of dollars.
The situation now, according to America's Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is that every year Americans make over 135 million visits to an emergency room, and over 88% of patients wait more than 15 minutes to be seen. Some patients lose their lives because of the wait, and hospitals lose billions of dollars a year because emergency rooms are used as the primary doctor by many many people who can't pay.
But when you combine Viceroy's top-level PR expertise with what this company does--help hospitals to have free-standing clinics that can help patients faster and at lower cost--you realize what an impact on America Viceroy may have.
Both Porter and Novelli would approve. Porter, who could afford it, devoted his post-PR life to college teaching in order to help the public. Feisty Bill Novelli brilliantly headed an anti-tobacco team that surely saved thousands or hundreds of thousands of lives.
Now less well known Viceroy steps up to the plate and may help more lives than Porter and Novelli combined. It's one of the blessings that PR provides for America.
