Roberti + White, the bipartisan Washington lobbying shop, has picked up a $360K pact to represent Cyprus as subcontractor to the Podesta Group.
Tony Podesta’s firm, a Democratic heavyweight, landed a $1.1M one-year contract that went into effect Sept. 10.
R+W’s “engagement will be coterminous with PG’s contract with Cyrpus,” according to the confirmation letter of Podesta CEO Kimberley Fritts to Vin Roberti.
R+W is to analyze issues of concern, counsel Cyprus on political developments in the U.S. and maintain contact with the White House, Congress and members of the press.
Roberti has counseled top Democrats such as Rep. Steve Israel, who chaired the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and Sen. Chuck Schumer.
Rich White is co-founder of the Alpine Group and former aide to the late Sen. John Chafee (R-R.I.).
A European Commission sustainability report released Dec. 18 says of the 24 EU nations only Spain and Cyprus face a short-term financial risk.
