Teri Everett, who stepped down as senior VP of corporate affairs and communications at News Corp. on Feb. 10, is joining Time Inc. as executive VP of corporate comms. in March.
She takes a role held by senior VP Dawn Bridges until last year, when Time Inc. chair Ann Moore left.
Everett, who said in January that she was “ready for something new” after more than a decade at News Corp., moves to the Time Warner publishing unit to oversee media relations, publicity, internal comms., philanthropy, government affairs and CSR, reporting to CEO Laura Lang.
Lang took the reins at Time Inc. in November.
"One of our priorities is to create a transparent, open dialogue about Time Inc.'s goals and strategies both within the company and to our external constituents,” Land said in a statement.
Time Inc. publishes Time, People, Sports Illustrated and Fortune, among other print and web properties.
Bridges runs Dawn Bridges Communications in New York.
