The Financial Services Forum, the advocacy group chaired by Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein which is comprised of the CEOs of the 20 largest financial institutions doing business in the U.S, is bringing in the communications director for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) to head communications.

Laena Fallon, who joined Cantor’s office in January 2011 as press secretary, is slated to take the title of VP for comms. for the FSF in August.
Erica Hurtt stepped down as senior VP/comms. for the Forum last year for the VP slot at the commercial bank-back entity The Clearing House.
AIG, Citi, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo are among members of the Forum, which was founded in 2000 following passage of the Financial Services Modernization Act. Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan is vice chair.
Forum CEO Rob Nichols, who led public affairs at the Treasury Dept. during the recent Bush administration, said Fallon will be an asset for members “as we go about communicating the important role the financial sector plays in economic growth and job creation.”
Fallon was previously communications director and press secretary for former U.S. Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.).
Cantor in April brought in veteran GOP communications aide Doug Heye as deputy chief of staff.
