Democratic political consultant Joe Trippi wrapped up work for the embattled Government of Bahrain on April 30 after delivery of a report from a reform panel and receiving the last of three $30K payments from the country’s Information Affairs Authority, according to a Justice Dept. filing.
Bahrain retained Joe Trippi & Assocs. to provide counsel on the importance of human rights training for police and security personnel, need for government transparency and accountability, strategies to engage youth and use of social media to effectively communicate reforms.
The St. Michaels, MD-based JT&A retained Sanitas International as a $15K a month subcontractor on the Bahraini work.
Qorvis Communications is Bahrain’s top U.S. firm. It received $240K in fees from Bahrain during the six-month period ended March 30.
That outlay neared the $280K amount that Qorvis got from Saudi Arabia, a client since the aftermath of 9/11. Mexico was the D.C.’s firm No. 1 foreign client, kicking in $1.8M for web-intensive image work.
