Bob Kocher, who was special assistant to President Obama on healthcare and economic policy, has joined APCO Worldwide’s health and international advisory boards.

He played a key role in crafting the Affordable Care Act, advised Michelle Obama on her “Let’s Move” initiative and worked on the administration’s Partnership for a Healthier America.
Before joining the White House, Kocher was in charge of McKinsey & Co.’s healthcare economics group and served as a partner at Venrock capital venture firm.
Kocher is a member of the advisory boards of Harvard Medical School’s healthcare policy department, University of Southern California’s Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics and the National Institute for Health Care Management.
