Nevada, a presidential swing state which has seen its voter rolls decline by nearly 87,000 since the 2008 election, is prospecting for a firm to guide an $800K, non-partisan voter outreach campaign ahead of the November election.
The Silver State’s Office of the Secretary of State wants the three-month push to reach a wide spectrum of Nevadans eligible to be registered to vote to convey requirements, instruction and deadlines. The state, which has a large Latino population, expects to have an online registration system currently deployed in some counties fully operational by August.
Nevada has nearly 1.4M registered voters, down 6.4% since the 2008 presidential election, and it estimates 680K eligible voters are not signed up.
In addition to president, Nevadans will vote for U.S. Senate and House seats, as well as state and local reps in the Nov. 6 election.
An RFP released June 19 is open through July 12.
Contract is expected to run from August through the end of October.
