Fineman PR is supporting Foster Farms as the California poultry giant navigates a recall of 15,000 pounds of turkey burgers.
Livingston, Calif.-based Foster issued the recall May 18 covering seven western states because a known allergen – hydrolyzed soy protein – was not declared on the products label. The recall is for the food services industry and does not affect consumer products.
The company stressed that no illnesses were reported. The products covered were produced between December 2011 and May 10, 2012.
Foster is an ongoing client of San Francisco-based Fineman PR. The firm supported Foster’s designation in 2010 as the provider of the Presidential Turkey for pardoning by President Barack Obama.
Ira Brill directs advertising and PR for Foster Farms, which is named by Forbes as one of the country’s largest private companies with revenue around $2B a year.
