The American Academy of Family Physicians is looking for a public relations firm to broaden its communications capabilities and establish a well-rounded PR strategy that would elevate the family medicine profession in the eyes of the public.

The AAFP, which serves to advocate on behalf of U.S. public health issues as well as the family physician community, is one of the largest medical organizations in the U.S. The Leawood, KS-based professional association, which represents more than 130,000 physicians and medical students nationwide, was founded in 1947.

AAFP seeks to engage a PR firm for the purpose of kicking off a multi-year, multi-channel, multi-discipline communications effort to support its goal of elevating the role and perception of family medicine in the eyes to a consumer audience as well as to position the AAFP as the voice of America’s physician community on important public health issues.
