Andrew CuomoA coalition of licensed home care service agencies in New York is looking for a PR firm to ramp up a public policy/advocacy campaign to counter budget threats posed by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Avril Chang, marketing manager of Vernon & Assocs. in New York City, told O’Dwyer’s that Cuomo’s budget will lead to market consolidation, putting many small and mid-sized licensed home care service agencies out of business.
The budget will limit contracting opportunities from the Empire State’s managed long-care system for people who are chronically ill or disabled and wish to stay in their homes and communities, according to Chang.
Working for the Licensed Home Care Service Agencies Coalition, the PR firm will work to raise awareness and mobilize stakeholders to influence policy making.
