The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh is seeking proposals from public relations firms as it seeks to develop a communications strategy to support the launch of a new community center in response to the October massacre at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.

JCC

The Resiliency Center, to be housed at the JCC headquarters in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood, is the result of a coordinated effort between local, state and federal representatives. It will address the needs of the Pittsburgh community by offering healing and wellness services, support and resources for survivors, family and community members affected by the attack. The Center will be open to the public.

The October 27 Tree of Life mass shooting, which killed of 11 Jewish congregants and injured seven, was the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the United States.

JCC wants an agency specializing in health and wellness PR with experience working with community-based organizations that can lead the direction, management, coordination and production of the Resiliency Center project.

Scope of the work includes: conducting research; designing and developing a new logo and brand identity as well as brand story messaging; graphic and site design for creation of a new website for the Center; creation and development of social media channels for the Center with unique content that establishes a platform for a dialog; launching the Center and building engagement within the local community.

The selected agency will be retained for up to six months, dependent upon budget constraints.

Deadline for proposals is 4:00 p.m. (EST) Friday, April 12.

Proposals can be emailed to chief program officer Jason Kunzman, [email protected].
