Ulster County, New York has issued a request for proposal for agencies that can produce advertising campaigns and marketing strategies to promote the county to potential tourists as well as those who would consider relocating their business to the area.

The Hudson Valley county sits about 100 miles north of New York City. The county seat is Kingston.

Scope of the work includes developing a media plan (TV and radio) and advertising placement plan; writing press releases; pitching and developing relations with travel writers and tourism industry professionals; creating a comprehensive media kit; website building, development and maintenance; content development, including print and electronic media (ad creation and placement); conducting Search Engine Optimization and Pay per Click advertising and analysis; creation and distribution of a bimonthly e-newsletter and biweekly e-blast; maintenance of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram accounts; reviewing current practices and making brand recommendations; and possibly attending meetings in Kingston, NY.

The awarded agency isn’t expected to perform all required aspects of the work and the use of subcontractors is encouraged. All work must meet New York State I Love NY Matching Funds Guidelines.

The contract start date is Jan. 1 2020 and runs for a year, ending Dec. 31, with the option of an additional one-year renewal.
