The Sturbridge Tourist Association, the economic development and tourism board charged with increasing tourism to the town of Sturbridge, Massachusetts, is seeking proposals from agencies that can develop a renewed town brand and marketing strategy that can be used to promote the community to prospective visitors over the next three years.

The Worcester County town sits in southern Massachusetts about 55 miles west of Boston.

Scope of the work calls for examining Sturbridge’s current brand and marketing strategy, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats; developing a profile of the types of visitors Sturbridge receives (geographic origin, travel purpose, interests, media preferences); conducting research to see how the town’s residents and businesses view the community; developing a town brand and written brand guidelines as well as a three-year marketing strategy for the town to market itself to those visitors; and providing technical assistance, support and guidance during the initial rollout of the brand and strategy.

The contract runs until June 30, 2020.

Proposals are due by 12:00 p.m. (EST) on 14 August and should be sent to:

All bidding agencies must submit one original and six copies of their proposals along with a transmittal letter signed by an authorized official of the agency.
