Montepulciano

The Consorzio del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, the coalition that manages marketing and communication activities promoting winemakers in the wine-producing town of Montepulciano in southeastern Tuscany, is calling on PR firms to provide input as the organization seeks to raise awareness and prominence of its wines in the U.S. market and among the U.S. food/beverage press.

The Consorzio has invited U.S. PR agencies to bid on a three-year PR and B2B promotion program.

Scope of that project would include: developing a communications plan and tactical approach to identifying target critics, journalists, influencers, sommeliers and bloggers, etc.; media relations work and monthly press placements; identifying and collaborating with influencers and critics to organize visits to Montepulciano and tastings; suggesting wine fairs worth attending as well and supporting future events to be organized by the Consorzio in the U.S.; coordinating a preliminary presentation by the coalition’s staff; evaluating the PR program’s impact and presenting balance sheets covering the points indicated above on a half-yearly basis for the three-year duration of the campaign.
