The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking a public relations consultant that can research and advise the healthcare facility on what impacts unionization has on academic health centers.

UNMHSC

The only academic health center in in the state of New Mexico, UNMHSC is a fully-integrated academic health complex located on the University of New Mexico’s Albuquerque campus, with additional clinics throughout the state.

UNMHSC seeks PR counsel in light of recent efforts made by University of New Mexico faculty to form a union, as well as a potential plan to accrete UNMHSC faculty after unionization of the main UNM campus is complete.

UNMHSC needs a PR partner that can research how unionization has impacted other fully-integrated academic health centers and how it might affect performance-based pay and merit raises, the power of faculty senate and the ability of departments and administration to make retention offers, among other key items.
