Austin, Texas is looking for an agency that can provide marketing and communication services to raise awareness of several programs currently being implemented by the City’s transportation authority, The City of Austin Transportation Department.

Austin wants an agency that will work in collaboration with ATD to design, develop and implement public relations campaigns and strategic advertising in an effort to boost educational outreach and awareness of multiple ATD goals and programs, including its Vision Zero Action Plan, which was implemented by the City to reduce traffic-related deaths and injuries

Scope of the work calls for message and strategy development; developing a public relations and media placement plan (including earned and paid media across traditional and digital outlets); developing content; implementing campaigns (conducting earned media pitches, as well as collateral design and production, and advertising design, scheduling and placement); and providing continued support (media campaign metrics, monthly reports and pre-campaign and post-campaign research).

Total budget for the first year of the contract shouldn’t exceed $800,000 to cover all expenses. Two additional year-long contract extensions are possible, contingent upon the City’s budget approval process.

Deadline for proposals is 2:00 p.m. (CST) on Jan. 7, 2020.
