Glenview

Glenview, a "Chicagoland" village of about 50K people, wants to hire a PR/marketing communications shop to develop a comprehensive community engagement plan.

The goal is to implement a program based on the most innovative practices to enable the Village to promote "all things Glenview" to its residents, businesses, visitors, customers and other stakeholders.

The Village currently gets its messages out via a mixture of letters, newsletters, social media, emails, website, water bills and Glenview TV.

The desired firm will "incorporate best practices and recommend the use of state-of-the-art processes and technology, which will allow the Village to become a leader in communication and community engagement," according to the RFP.

It will gauge whether focus group and/or targeted surveys are needed to better understand the wants and needs of the community; topics needed to relay (transparency, legally, to educate and inform); how to communicate during a crisis/emergency, and determine if a branding exercise is required.
