Texas Monthly

Austin-based Texas Monthly is looking for a PR firm to help its 2020 brand-building effort as the 46-year-old magazine evolves across a range of communications platforms.

TM is noted for its coverage of politics, business, education and sharp commentary. It is the Lone Star State's authority on music, arts, travel, restaurants, museums and cultural happenings.

The magazine has a paid circulation of 270K and readership of 2.5M people each month. TM's recently released Boomtown podcast has cracked the top 25 podcast list on iTunes.

The RFP cites the following objectives for the PR firm: establish TM as the go-to source for Texans; increase awareness of award-winning longform storytelling; hike impressions of editorial content; create brand awareness and identify TM as more than a print publication, but as a media organization that produces a multitude of exemplary products across several channels; create buzz and awareness within a younger demographic to instill brand loyalty; drive traffic to the website and increase paywall conversions; convert subscribers and grow circulation; increase awareness, grow, and sell out signature svents (TM LIVE, BBQ Fest, and EDGE: The TM Festival), and produce a clear measure of success.

Interested firms should contact Caitlyn Perry ([email protected]) or Tori Schach ([email protected]) by Dec. 20 for a copy of TM's RFP.

Proposals are due Jan. 3.
