Pensacola

Pensacola, the westernmost city on Florida's Panhandle, is offering a three-year marketing communications contract to promote its airport.

Pensacola International Airport is the largest airport between Jacksonville and New Orleans. Delta Air Lines, United, Southwest, Silver, American and Frontier offer 90 daily flights from the facility.

The airport is a city-owned property that "conducts its operations on a sound business basis, requiring airline and non-airline revenue equal or in excess of operating and capital requirements," according to the RFP.

That sound business model requires PIA to communicate with customers and the community and aggressively market its services.

PIA's desired firm will develop and place advertising, prepare and execute PR and public information programs, pitch media and identify new marketing opportunities.
