Gloucester, Massachusetts is seeking proposals from public relations firms that can provide a range of traditional and social media consulting services for the City.

The Cape Ann town, known for its fishing industry, is seeking an agency established in Massachusetts—or at least one with familiar with Massachusetts law—that can create press releases, update Twitter and Facebook accounts and facilitate with press conferences as well as provide media support for a variety of city departments.

Scope of the work includes consulting, creating formatted press releases, managing various Gloucester websites (namely: police and fire dept. sites) and Twitter and Facebook accounts, facilitating with live on-air press conferences and providing support for recorded media features.

The contract term is one year from the date of execution with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods at the discretion of the City.

Price proposals and technical proposals must be sent in two separate sealed envelopes, one containing four copies of the non-price technical proposal marked “Non-Price (Technical) Proposal—Public Relations Services” and another containing two copies of the price proposal marked “Price Proposal—Public Relations Services.”
