FRED

Fredericksburg Regional Transit, which serves the city and Virginia counties of Spotsylvania and Stafford, is looking for a firm to provide communications, marketing and rebranding work.

Formed in 1996, FRED carries more than 300K riders per year in the central Virginia region along the I-95 corridor between Washington and Richmond.

It wants a partner to create a rebranding program to “develop, enhance and promote a sustainable regional transit identity,” encourage ridership among targeted markets (e.g., college/high school students, Spanish speakers, government workers) and generate overall awareness of the system, according to the RFP.

FRED desires a new logo and updated visuals including building/bus stop signage and vehicle decals. 

FRT is offering a two-year contract with options for three one-year renewals. Proposals are due 1 p.m. on Dec. 3 and go to:
