Schenectady County Community College is accepting proposals from agencies providing public relations and marketing services.

The Schenectady, New York-based community college, which is part of the SUNY system and enrolls 6,400 full- and part-time students, is looking for an agency with experience working with higher education institutions that can help SUNY Schenectady fulfill its vision by developing and implementing PR and marketing campaigns that will enhance student enrollment, increase institutional awareness and improve its perceptions within the community.

Scope of the work calls for providing PR support and assisting with development of an overall communications campaign; content development services (writing web content, social media posts, feature articles, communications and other editorial content); developing and distributing press releases and identifying media placement opportunities that will promote the college; providing public affairs planning and community relations services; and providing crisis communications and other PR, media and communication services as requested.

The work is anticipated to begin on April 1, 2021 and run for three years, with two optional one-year extensions at SUNY Schenectady’s discretion.

All bidding agencies should submit one original of their proposal, as well as six separately-bound hard copies and two electronic copies (DVD or flash drive preferred) in PDF or MS Word format. Proposals must be marked “Proposal: RFP 2021-03, Public Relations & Marketing Services.”
