North Carolina State University Library System

The North Carolina State University Libraries seek proposals from PR firms capable of drawing up diversity, equity and inclusion plans that reflect contemporary best practices in libraries and higher education.

The D.H. Hill Jr. Library, James B. Hunt Jr. Library and branch outlets are staffed by 252 people and are the most used facilities on campus, attracting more than 2.5M visitors per-year. They have more than 5.3M volumes and an annual budget of more than $30M.

The Libraries are committed to “developing and sustaining a culture of equity, diversity and respect that empowers all staff to contribute effectively and meaningfully, while encouraging and recognizing creativity and achievement,” according to the RFP.

They are looking for a firm to guide and craft a strategic change agenda and “articulate high-level strategic directions, in alignment with the University priorities, evolving user qualities and contemporary developments in DE&I.”

The RFP also has an add-on implementation and communication plan that covers rollout, recommended ongoing efforts and identification of success measures.

Proposals are due Dec. 15 at https://ncsu.bonfirehub.com/opportunities/35228.
