Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District

The Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District in Atlanta wants to hire a firm to handle messaging for its Clean Water Campaign and My Drop Counts conservation push.

The District, a national leader in water conservation, serves 5M people in the 15-county region.  Since 2000, water use has dropped 10 percent, despite a 1.3M increase in population.

It is looking for a partner to handle PR, social media marketing, video production, K-12 educational programming and measurement.

The District is targeting businesses, building managers, community groups, trade organizations, government agencies, elected officials, teachers and students.

In addition to the clean water and conservation efforts, the District wants to maintain its effort to promote the Atlanta region’s water stewardship and an understanding of Georgia’s water story and history; support leading-edge, science-based integrated water planning; and “sow the seeds of a broad-based coalition for our water future,” according to the RFP.

The District wants to add virtual offerings to its communications push to remain relevant during the age of COVID-19.

“As virtual events have become more commonplace during the global pandemic, we expect that the public will continue to desire some virtual elements within events that were previously in-person only,” reads the RFP.
