Space Coast of Florida

The tourism promotion entity responsible for implementing Brevard County, Florida’s tourism efforts has kicked off a search for a firm that can develop and implement a travel PR and media relations program for the region surrounding the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, also known as the Space Coast.

Brevard County’s Tourism Development Office is looking for an agency that can raise awareness of the Space Coast brand to potential visitors and increase the number of year-round visitors as well as length of visitor stays.

Scope of the work includes creating awareness of the Space Coast as well as other tourist destinations and attractions in the area through media (TV, radio, newspapers, magazines and online outlets) and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Tik Tok and other outlets); influencing public attitudes to raise Space Coast’s reputation as well as visitors to the destination; media outreach to journalists as well as social media influencers; securing media tours; providing reports and monthly updates; and assistance in the implementation of a crisis communications plan.

Effective terms of contract will run from March 1 to December 31, 2023 with the option of two additional one-year extensions.

All bidding agencies should submit four hardcopies of their proposals (one original and three copies) as well as one electronic copy on USB flash drive. Submissions should be marked “RFP # P-7-21-09, Tourism Public and Media Relations Services.”
