The City of Valdez, Alaska is seeking proposals from agencies that can develop and implement a strategically-driven destination brand and marketing strategy that represents the community.

The South Central, AK city, known for its commercial and sport fishing, wants to create a destination brand and accompanying branding strategy targeting visitors and residents that celebrates the benefits of Valdez and defines what sets it apart from other communities.

That new marketing strategy should address the dramatic negative impacts the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the city’s visitor industry and turn it into a marketing opportunity as it prepares for the reopening of businesses and travel.

Scope of the services includes brand development, brand implementation strategy and research.

Budget for the services is set at approximately $75,000, including fees and expenses.
