Washington, DC is seeking proposals from creative agencies that can produce a travel and tourism recovery marketing campaign aimed at driving visits to the nation’s capital.

Destination DC, the official destination marketing organization for the District of Columbia, and Events DC, which serves as the capital’s official convention and sports authority, want to hear from agencies that can create a multi-channel advertising recovery campaign aimed at driving visitors to Washington, DC and positioning the city as a go-to leisure destination in an effort to increase stays and spending and, ultimately, revive DC’s economy and hospitality industry, both of which have been strained by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Scope of the work includes leading the creation of a multi-channel advertising campaign; producing campaign creative assets (copy, print and digital ads, social assets, video, etc.); coordinating with Destination DC’s media buying AOR to ensure the campaign strategy complements the nonprofit’s advertising media mix and partnering with Destination DC’s in-house marketing and creative teams to ensure the campaign meets brand standards; and conducting consumer research.

Budget for the work is set at $400,000. Travel, hospitality and entertainment marketing agency MMGY Global serves as Destination DC’s media buying agency of record.
