Charlotte is looking for a PR firm to provide community engagement services for its "Vision Zero" traffic safety program.

The selected firm will “identify ways to leverage messaging across communication modes to reach populations impacted most severely by fatal and serious injury crashes, particularly those that are culturally, multilingual, generational and socio-economic diverse,” according to the RFP.

Charlotte desires messaging that will “create a community culture of safety” while addressing people’s values and belief systems. It wants special emphasis on populations “impacted most severely by fatal and serious injury crashes.”

During an 18-month period, the hired firm will develop branding for Vision Zero and bolster its recognition via earned and paid media, public service announcements and social media outreach.
