Operation Smile

Operation Smile is requesting proposals from agencies that can develop a comprehensive communication strategy to commemorate the nonprofit medical service organization’s 40th anniversary.

The Virginia Beach-based organization, which was founded in 1982, is comprised of surgical volunteers that provide cleft lip and palate surgery and dental care for children worldwide. The nonprofit celebrates its 40th anniversary next year and is looking for a full-service communications agency that can co-create and support the implementation of a global marketing and media relations campaign to raise awareness and funding for the organization as it plans to expand its work in more than 35 countries.

Scope of the work includes message and strategy development, development of a global marketing campaign, global media relations work, crisis preparation and media planning and management for signature events.

Terms of the contract run from July 1, 2021 to November30, 2022.
