The California Walnut Commission, the trade group that markets and represents the 4,600 growers and 90 handlers in California’s walnut industry, is looking for PR firms that can support its marketing activities in multiple foreign markets.

The CWC has issued multiple RFPs for agencies that can conduct year-long marketing services and consumer public relations campaigns that promote California walnuts in the Japan, Turkey and Korea markets.

The CWC is looking for agencies with experience working with agriculture commodity groups that can use multichannel programs to raise consumer awareness and sales of California walnuts. Scope of the work includes: media relations, social media, advertising, consumer marketing, brand building, health science and nutrition communications, healthcare professional outreach, opinion leader outreach, events and maintaining and updating the CWC’s website in Japan/Korea/Turkey.

All contracts are slated to begin in January 1, 2022 and run until December 31, 2022, with the possibility of extending the work for two additional years.
