BCFSA

BC Financial Services Authority, the provincial watchdog that monitors pension plans, mortgage brokers, trusts and insurance companies in British Columbia, is looking for a strategic communications partner.

The Authority’s mandate is to protect the public against the insolvency of financial institutions, prevent improper market conduct in the financial services sector, provide deposit insurance for credit unions, and ensure the integrity of pension funds.

BCFSA’s RFP calls for media relations, crisis/issues management, stakeholder engagement, media training and government relations.

The desired partner “must be able to provide team members with a variety of skills from simple copywriting to complex stakeholder engagement."

Knowledge and contacts with the BC government is a must, while an office network across Canada would be an asset.

The contract will run for three years with the possibility of two one-year extensions.

Responses are due July 5. They go to www.bcbic.ca.
