Strawberries

The California Strawberry Commission is gathering proposals from firms to provide integrated PR, social media and marketing services to establish a positive emotional connection between consumers and strawberries grown in the Golden State.

The effort will elevate the reputation of farmers with consumers, community leaders and residents in the strawberry production regions of California. 

It also will drive positive consumer awareness of the health benefits and versatility of fresh and frozen strawberries.

The outreach is targeted at English and Spanish-speaking moms in their 20’s through 40's, and registered dietitian nutritionists, specifically members of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.

The Commission, which represents more than 400 farmers, shippers and processors, has budgeted $400K to $600K for the communications effort.
