The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, the private nonprofit that oversees the Internet’s naming system, is requesting proposals from public relations firms that can develop and implement a global awareness campaign.

ICANN

ICANN is looking for an agency with a global footprint as well as offices outside of the U.S. that can kick off a worldwide awareness campaign—with emphasis in Africa, Asia and Latin America—regarding the lack of diversity on the Internet and the importance of allowing the world’s population to access the Internet in their own language, as well as to support the ICANN’s efforts to encourage software developers and back-end providers to adopt Universal Acceptance standards.

Proposals are due by 11:59 p.m. (UTC) on September 3 and should be electronically submitted using ICANN’s sourcing tool. Access to this tool may be requested by sending an email [email protected]. Firms planning to bid for this proposal must send an indication of interest to [email protected] by 11:59 p.m. (UTC) on August 20.
