Port of Tacoma

The Port of Tacoma and the Northwest Seaport Alliance are looking for build support for their clean air and climate solutions initiatives by engaging with industry and community stakeholders.

NSA, which is the operating partnership between the ports of Tacoma and Seattle, ranks as the country’s No. 4 container gateway.

It unveiled the 2020 Northwest Ports Clean Air Strategy, which establishes a goal of zero-emissions of diesel particulate matter and greenhouse gas from seaport activities by 2050.

NSA is also committed to tackling environmental health disparities in near-port communities.

The Port of Tacoma and NSA want a partner to identify and promote best practices and available tools (including online engagement technologies) and arrange meetings with local neighborhoods and community groups. The firm also will encourage collaborative clean air efforts.

The Port and NSA will each award a $50K one-year contract to a single firm. There will be two one-year renewal options.

Proposals are due Oct. 5 at [email protected]. Write “Clean Air Stakeholder Engagement & Outreach" in the subject line.
