The California Film Commission, which works to attract film, television and commercial production companies to work in the Golden State, is looking to hire a communications consultant.

The CFC seeks a firm that can assist in all communications and media relations, stakeholder engagement, social media, and marketing programs goals, with an emphasis on providing ongoing communications and education support that elevates awareness of the California Film and Television Tax Credit program.

Additional work requested includes elevating awareness of the CFC’s ongoing production services; generating earned media opportunities to raise awareness of the CFC’s efforts to preserve and grow economic and job opportunities throughout the state; creating and drafting news releases announcing CFC developments; assisting with social media activities and providing recommendations to boost awareness of the CFC’s website; researching, identifying and recommending speaking opportunities; and advising the CFC on potential target audiences and key messaging for new opportunities.

The CFC anticipates awarding a two-year contract.
