The New Haven Dept. of Health is seeking an outreach partner to address the racial disparities in health and COVID-19 prevention, testing and vaccination.

The firm will develop linguistic and culturally appropriate responsive health-communications information (posters, flyers, social media visuals, videos) to be distributed through safe events and to faith communities, businesses, health clinics and housing authority properties, according to the RFP.

The effort is targeted at New Haven neighborhoods including Amity, Annex, Dixwell, Edgewood, Fair Haven, Fair Haven Heights, Hill, Newhallville, Quinnipiac, and West Rock.

The Health Dept.’s partner will develop and participate in 10 community engagement activities, hold at least eight virtual or in-person town halls in Spanish and English and conduct a minimum of six testing/vaccination pop-ups events in 2022 and three in 2023.

The budget for the two-year push is $160K.

Interested firms must declare their intent to respond to the RFP by Dec. 17 and submit proposals by Dec. 21.
